Five Psalms App
The Five Psalms App has been my favorite thing to recommend to friends for the last few years. It has been the greatest refreshment to my daily time in the Word and one of the best tools for prayer.

Hard-wired for praise
There are many reasons why we should worship and praise God, but one of them is that we are hard-wired for it. God created us in such a way that it’s like we can’t fully enjoy something until we exclaim about it.

That time we sang in a castle
It has been a packed week! We even sang in a castle. More on that later ;)
While our big kids were away at “family camp,” we had special visitors in KY. Jonathan’s sister, Lauren, came to stay for a few days and experience all things camp with us.

A well-timed help
I’m not sure about you, but distraction comes in many forms for me.
As a young mom, I often think that I would spend more time in the Word if I just had a morning without the kids or more time with a little less on my plate.
But honestly, I find that the battle to be *actively engaged* instead of *passively preoccupied* in my life is always fiercest when I have perfectly quiet moments right in front of me.

Abnormal Days
These last few days at camp have been abnormal for us.
Judah and June are happily away at “Papa & Tante” camp in North Carolina, which means Jonathan and I are down to one kid.

As For Me
From what I’ve observed, it doesn’t seem our modern instinct is to derive comfort from Psalm 2. This psalm often reveals our resentment and resistance to God’s divine and ultimate authority.
Sadly, that resistance within us is also why we tend to miss out on the peace offered by this Psalm.

God sees you
I’ve been having a bit of a pity party for myself over the last year.
It’s humbling and embarrassing to share this with you, but I’m sharing because I figure I’m not the only one who has struggled with feeling unseen.

Change of plans - July 4th, 2023
It’s been a busy five weeks but July 4th provided a much needed break from camp work and life.

The Poetry of Prayer by Caroline Cobb
I’ve been a fan of Caroline’s for a while, but this album is officially my favorite and must be in your Apple/Spotify library.

I’m still singing!
I have felt so loved that many of you have been checking on my vocal health this summer. If you don't know, I have a history of vocal damage. Past damage and KY grass allergies have made my summers extra challenging the last few years.
